We have been doing metal roofs for about 12 years now and I think we found the product to end all. Great staff who walked us through our first roof. We had a 25,000 sq ft flat roof, mostly metal with some rusting and areas where the vents were covered with a hot tar application.

We Received your 1 gallon jug yesterday. Today I reviewed a few of your YouTube videos, I followed them and was amazed how easy it was to apply. My RV is 4 1/2 years old and I developed a small leak, so I decided to seal up all the openings on the roof. It took me a little over and hour, start to finish. It applied so easy and has now relieved my fears of more water coming into my RV. I also love the fact that everything needed was in the box. Awesome product!!!

EPDM is an awesome product and everything that is described on their website. We encountered a leak on our 22’ travel trailer and Googled roofing products. We found the Rubber Roof from EPDM and had to try it based on all the information and testimonials. We completed the prep, taped off all sides for spillage, and proceeded with the squeegee and roller (be sure the roller is low nap). After installing the product we had bubbles. We contacted EPDM and they stated the bubbles would disappear during curing. Sure enough, they disappeared. We saved a gallon which we stored in the refrigerator so it could be used in the future. Good thing, as we applied another thin layer to the front and back where the siding and roof meet, as we had removed all of the old caulking and applied new caulk, before applying the Liquid Roof. The roof looks fantastic and we will now have many more summer camping trips ahead. Thank you for such a reputable outstanding product.

EPDM "Liquid Roof" was effective in eliminating the leaks in my RV roof. I had water intrusion that I was continually trying to remedy with other products. This effort proved to be ineffective. I discovered Liquid Roof, and really did not know any others who had experience with this product. Our local RV Store only sold emulsion based sealers and could only comment that EPDM is "expensive". It took a late and prolonged rainy season to finally convince me to try "Liquid Roof".

Once ordered, the product arrived in 5 business days without issue. Surface preparation was the lion's share of the project. Removal of the oxidized rubber from the existing roof was accomplished by brooming/brushing, air compressor, and finally and acetone wipe. Overall time to prep my RV approximately 8 hrs. Mixing the product went without issue. Application was simple and took less than 1 hour for a 27' RV. The product does produce fumes that are heavier than air. Fumes were noticable while working on the roof, but were quite noticable on the ground (and in the house, so be sensitive to the family!). Cleanup consisted of wiping down tools with mineral spirits. I just threw the roller pad and paint brush away...

Within 24hrs of application we received ~1/2" of rain and no water was noticed in the RV. True to their word, the product was water resistant upon application. By the end of the week we had received over 2" of rain and happily no water in the RV. Because of the wet and cooler weather it took a couple of weeks before the coating lost its tackiness and fully cured. It has been approximately 1 month since application and I am very pleased with the "Liquid Roof" and hoping for several leak free seasons. I highly recommend this "Liquid Roof". The additional money spent for this quality product is well worth the saving in time, frustration and multiple tubes of inferior sealers

I wanted to let a few months go by before I wrote back to you folks. It has been 6 months since the application went down. First I would like to say that I was very pleased with the level of service I received. I probably called your office about 7 or 8 times with questions but this was the first time I was using the product and it was a fairly large commercial roof. I did hire some general laborers and the product went down just like you indicated. I actually applied a smaller section of the roof with elastomeric before I ordered your product. So now I have to get the elastomeric off because it is already cracking in two seam areas. So short and sweet. We love the product, yes costs some money but factoring that we didn’t need a primer and there were not multiple coats like the systems I am familiar with it actually came in cheaper and the results were just outstanding. Let’s get through the winter and our company will be ordering more.

I just wanted to send you a testimonial email about your product. We bought a '99 5th wheel only to find out that it had a leak 3 months later. I had to repair a section of the roof decking and replace a 3 foot section of the membrane leaving a seem on the roof. After making the repairs I coated the roof with liquid roof and waited until after we had a rain storm to send you this testimonial. I am happy to report that after an overnight rain storm that dumped over an inch of rain I went in the trailer to find it bone dry! The product was easy to apply and I have even used the left over material on a couple of other projects after placing it in the freezer for storage. I would recommend this product to all RV owners and will probably coat the roof of my next RV with it.

Hi Kellie,

Sorry to split up the two messages but here is the after product. The roof looks new and I love it. You are welcome to use my info for any promo or anyone from Canada who is concerned about importing your products and the duty. Well worth every penny.

Thanks again.
Bryson Jones.

We retrieved the original pictures that we sent to you before beginning the project and took the after shots. There will be one more email sent to you, as all the pics wouldn't fit on one. You can see for yourself what a huge improvement we have. As I said on the phone, you folks did a great job and the product was perfect. Thanks for your help.

Coleman Popup Camper
ABS Roof Repair with EPDM coating
  • Clean ABS Roof thoroughly, I used a pressure washer.
  • Carefully, slightly lift bad cracks that are delaminating from the foam top and spray some water into the cracks and secure with white Gorilla Glue. I used weights and tape to hold in place until it dried. (The moisture is needed for the Gorilla Glue.)
  • Make slurry of MEK and plastic forks and spoons the consistency of heavy cream. (This takes about four hours for the plastic to dissolve.)
  • Clean out large cracks on the camper roof with MEK and a toothbrush.
  • Sanded large cracks to match roof then lightly sand the entire roof. Clean off sanding dust.
  • Next mask off area that you don’t want to coat.
  • Next applied Primer 1501, bought from EPDM Coatings 1-610-298-1989. This is a two part primer, mix part A & B and paint entire top of camper. (Only mix one quart at a time as this will set up before you finish.) Let primer set for 24 hours.
  • Sand any runs.
  • Applied Propoly 9601, bought from EPDM Coatings 1-610-298-1989. This is a two part coating, mix part A & B and paint entire top of camper. (Only mix one quart at a time as this will set up before you finish.)
  • In 24 hours it was unbelievable. It looked alike a new roof.

My name is Daniel Sims. My business partner and I recently went to San Diego for a working vacation. We put a new roof on my parents house using the liquid EPDM. We pressure washed the roof on July 10th and finished applying the Liquid EPDM on July 12.

There are several reasons for my letter here. I wanted to let you know how much I like the product! I can’t understand why this is the first time I have been exposed to it when I have been in the construction business for close to 30 years. There are many, many times in the past when the liquid EPDM would have been a perfect solution on a project and I definitely plan on using it in the future!

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the time you spent with me on the telephone today. (Tuesday 16th August 2011) You have been very kind and helpful. As I mentioned on the telephone, the video of the 'Liquid Roof' product is a great comfort factor in my decision to purchase an RV, here in England.

Hello Kellie,

Thank you for your quick response. Here are the before and after pictures. What a great product. It was everything you said it was on your website.

Dear Mr.Phillipine,

Thanks for the info on maintaining the EPDM roof on my motor home. The original roof was 18 years old. It was not leaking but was getting thin and needed something to restore the integrity of the original roof. Great care was taken to prepare the roof for application of the liquid EPDM. It was applied with a brush and roller. It took about 2 hours to apply the EPDM. This was done in September 2010. I checked the roof today ( June 20th 2011) and it looks as though the EPDM was just applied 5 days ago. I wish that I had taken pictures before starting the project and then after finishing. Thanks for a great product and for the info on maintenance.

Kindest regards,
Elmer Yoder

Kellie this was our 1984 trailer with a steel sheet roof, badly warn, old paint, old silicon, now sand blasted clean and 1 fresh rubber coating!

I did the rubber roofing project on my horse trailer this weekend, very happy with the results, The product is a lot thicker than I imaged but that is what I needed, a good thick product to cover well.

Definitely only needed one coat! Very happy with the results, attached are 2 pictures. (I believe you have the before pictures.) Also attached are pictures of my trailer finished on the outside you can use for you next broshure to get those horse people buying the product :)

Thanks again,

Hi Brian:

Appreciate the consideration for the gift card.

Hi EPDM Coatings!!

We had an opportunity to apply your Liquid Roof product on the metal roof of our RV this weekend. I am very happy with the ease of application and the final smooth look of the roof once the self leveling and curing process began. When I first started applying the liquid roof product ,being this was the first time I have used it, I was a bit concerned about running out of product and may have applied it a little too thinly .But as I used it more, I got used to how the product felt as it went on etc,

Thanks !!
Maurice

Just making good on my promise you said we would get a $25.00 AMEX gift certificate if we write something about the product. Well I would have done it for free but thanks for the $25.00. So for the past 7 months we kept seeing our waterline go down. We went to two pond shops and tried the crap they had there and nothing worked. Skeptical at this point your sales people really did not try to sell be but rather tell me about the product and why it would work. I really never knew there was a liquid version of the EPDM pond liners. Well it has been about three weeks and the level for the first time is holding. I wanted to make sure before I wrote this but in the past we knew within a few days that the other products did not work.

Too bad I did not know about this 7 months ago I could have saves about $150.00 on the snake oil products out there

I am sorry I am reaching out to you so late after using your product! I never did take any good footage of applying the EPDM liner due to a rushed job but have told many other companies about the product and will stand behind it one hundred percent. It worked great for our application and was easy to use. Once again I am sorry for not getting any footage but I hope to continue to use your product in the future.

Liquid Roof Customer Testimonial

I'm just writting to say Thank you, I've receive th material on Sept the 2nd and I was very please with the product,. It arrived intact and I've started to apply it on my 5th wheeler roof. It is a thick paint but the coverage is amazing, I am very satisfied with the results.

I would like to thank the gentlemen who help me with my order, I can't remember is name but he was very helpful. I understand that delivery to Victoria,BC Canada was not the easiest thing but it when through, I am very ecstatic that it did.

Your product do not required a primer and it is less toxic then the products made available to me, I will recommend your product to a lot of people. If you send me your business card, I can post it here at Fort Victoria RV Park.

Hope you business prosper, my best regards,

I put on the rest of the liquid roof and it turned out really well. I am very pleased with how it turned out-should have no worries about any roof leaks in the for seeable future. I think your product is amazaing. I will not let a poor conditioned roof on an RV, keep me from buying it, as I know of a easy solution, that I can do.

This is my first RV. I have never coated a RV roof before, and having a shop do it seemed too expensive. Your product is not cheap, but I put on gallon on the edges and cut in the roof vents last weekend, so I got another 4 gallons today to do the rest this weekend. It has not been hard, I am hoping the longevity of the product will produce as advertised. I have told some of my RV friends about it and now they seem interested when they go to seal their roofs. Your videos on your sight really helped me decide, along with your responses to my email questions. One coat vs a primer and top coat was also attractive.

Hi Kellie! Thanks for your quick response to my questions. Yes, please feel free to use my comments on your website. We will let you know next year how the Liquid Roof has held up to our -40 degree temperature Canadian winter! So far it’s done its job and has sealed up the pinholes in the RV metal roof and the inside is as dry as Sahara sand storm !! No more water leaks !We had an opportunity to apply your Liquid Roof product on the metal roof of our RV this weekend. I am very happy with the ease of application and the final smooth look of the roof once the self leveling and curing process began. When I first started applying the liquid roof product ,being this was the first time I have used it, I was a bit concerned about running out of product and may have applied it a little too thinly .But as I used it more, I got used to how the product felt as it went on etc, and started to be more liberal in its application. These sections of roof look smooth and even. Where I may have been a little stingy in the amount of product I used looks not as smooth as the other areas. So, my question is: -can I apply a second coat of Liquid Roof to this area to get it to match the smoothness of the other areas?? If it is possible to do it, what prep work and steps do I need to take ?? We do have about a gallon of product left over from the large pail we ordered. We put this remainder in our deep freeze to stop the curing process. Was this an OK thing to do and should the product still be OK to use ?

Dear EPDM,
After months of trying to decide between a competitors product or a repair or replacement of my flat rubber roof on my garage. I decided to try you "Liquid Rubber." I am so glad I did! It turned out wonderful! Far better than I would have expected! I am very thankful I chose your product and cannot believe I was even considering another competitors "system". So glad I didn't! Easy to mix and easy to apply! It worked great and completely fixed my leaking roof in one shot! The three white five gallons cost me less than $1000.00. Compare that to a new rubber roof installed at a cost of over $8,000.00 or a "professional" repair at around $5-6,000!

I can't say enough about the quality! I did use "Eterna-Bond" tape on the many loose seams. I think that was very helpful. I also really made sure I cleaned the roof first with my pressure washer and cleaning solution.

I am attaching several photos at various stages (dates on photo). And you can see how nice it turned out. The amazing "bubbling" has almost gone.
Thanks for a fantastic product that really works!

Yours,
Fred Mill

Gentlemen:
In January we purchased your liquid roof material and applied it per your instructions. We wanted to wait a few months and we very impressed with the product and told several people about it. At the time I ordered I was told we would receive a $50.00 gift certificate for some before and after pictures which we have attached. The results speak for themselves.

We had been told by several RV shops that there was no other option than installing a new roof for approx $5,200.00 Your product was a real boon for us! Our motorhome is an an older model and we weren’t willing to put that kind of money into it. So this remedy was great
Thank you

I ordered a gallon of Liquid Rubber last summer, and inquired if it could be spread with an adhesive applicator trowel; the sales person was not aware of this having been tried. I tried using a commercially available trowel with 4 sawtooth teeth per inch, and 0.135 inch notch depths, holding the trowel at about a 45 degree tilt. This worked great, and spread the liquid at exactly the recommended rate. The trowel is followed by a brush or roller to level the liquid.

My application is to repair the seams on an EPDM roof; the seams are weathering much faster than the roofing membrane. After wire brushing and vacuuming the areas to be repaired, the new coating is well adhered, smooth, and continuous, and, AFTER A YEAR AND A HALF THE ROOF LOOKS BRAND NEW! I just ordered two more gallons.

I applied the liquid rubber to the roof of our camper and after a few minutes it started to bubble up. Whats going on? What do you guys think? Thanks Mickey. Bubbling is normal. It is part of the curing process. Normally it will take anywhere from 5-10 days for all the bubbling to cure. Hey, You were correct. I went on the roof this morning and was amazed. It looks great. Thanks for the help. The product is amazing!

Lou, I promised I would e-mail you guys what we thought of your product either way. Well I must say you were right about everything it claimed. We were more than pleased with the performance of the product. We were concerned with the cost but after seeing how thick it is and the fact that it required no primers or additional coats the cost actually was cheaper that other systems. We hired some general laborers to do the work and saved $3,500.00 to boot! Great service. We have another job coming up in May and we will definitely be reordering

In September we ordered the liquid roof from your company for our motorhome. Let me tell you, the liquid roof is a superior product, course you already know that. We just wanted to tell you that we are extremely satisfied with the performance of application and the final result. So far -so good

We had been looking for a roofing coating for some time. We ordered a gallon in the summer to test it out on our roof, part epdm and part metal. After our initial testing we were quite amazed with the performance of the product. This is the only product that had stopped our leak, and in fact the first time in 4 years the roof did not leak. We since then completed our entire roof and saved several thousand dollars by hiring some general laborers to apply the material along with some people who work in our warehouse. This is the first time that I took the time to write a compliment but you guys asked if the product did what it said it would to let us know so I am glad to do so. Great product and great customer service!

A friend of mine gave me a gallon of the Liquid Rubber  he had left over  after I complained to him about a chronic leak on my roof.  Although my  roofer did some patch work, I still had water coming in when the rain was heavy.  Well I tried the Liquid Rubber in  the area  where the water was coming from.

That was six months ago.  Today, all is dry. I have to thank my friend for introducing me to this great product.

I am not one to write and say thank you. But, I must say this stuff is great. Your liquid roof is FANTASTIC :)

I had my doubts, and wasn't sure if I was applying it right, but, it has truned out to be superb. I did manage to get it on my pants. But that is hardly a fault of the product. Excellent product and thank you. I expect my sunroom with the shallow roof is loving it too.

I just wanted to forward to you a copy of an email I recently sent to a customer service representative I spoke with when purchasing your product. I was faced with a $7,000 dollar roof replacement estimate for my 26.5 ft. class C motor home. I thought for sure my RVing days were over. As DIYer, I was extremely pleased with your product. It has done everything you said it would. From the point of a motor home owner who was shocked with a $7,000 roof repair estimate. My roof looks brand new and has a seamless finish that looks like I will be leak free for years to come. Thanks for a product that performed as promised and is well within the capabilities of a determined RV Owner to apply.

Kellie, Thanks for all your assistance over the past two months. We have finally got around to getting the product on a job and were very impressed overall with it. Solid performance and just a remarkable finish when it dried. Just what you said a 100% seamless area.

We have been doing metal roofs for about 12 years now and I think we found the product to end all. Great staff who walked us through our first roof. We had a 25,000 sq ft flat roof, mostly metal with some rusting and areas where the vents were covered with a hot tar application. We brushed on an elastomeric coating on the tar areas and on the heavily rusted areas covered them with a metal primer. By the way the product is nice to work with. Given the 8 hour time frame you have to work with, our guys didn't have to rush. Not the case with some of the other products out there where the set up is real quick. We were quite amazed with the appearance. It looks like someone put a 25,000 sq ft piece of sheet epdm on our roof. We'll be back!

I was going to install a regular rubber roof when I saw your product. It would save a lot of work. I ordered a gallon to try and your product was just what you said it was. It went on easy with the squeegie and evened itself to a beautiful coating. It looks and feels like it will last a long time.I am ordering a second gallon to finish the job.

I had a contractor build a patio cover out of cedar and 4x4 glass panes. He never could get the roof to stop leaking though he used several products. Water would eventually always leak somewhere around the joint of the glass and the tin lip he had laid the glass in. I just applied your product and am confident I finally found the right sealant to stop the leaks. I can BBQ in the dry for once without drips all over the patio roof. Great product! I just wanted to drop a line about your product.

Everyone was SUPER helpful and knew the product, properties and application methods well. I applied to product on the trailer in about a 2-hour period one evening. It was tricky with the application, from a novice who had not done this before, on the flat surface as well as rounding the corners and down on the sides about 6 inches. It went GREAT! Needless to say, I am super proud of the product and the finished job. I cannot thank your folks enough for the support and quality of the product. Excellent. Coming from a process management philosophy and background, it leads me to be extra thankful for outstanding processes with outstanding people. Thanks again,

Here is what I say about my finished product now.... " No drips, no runs, no errors!"

Donna, your staff and your customer service is the reason we buy from you. You had asked us several months ago if we would write up something for your Website. We wanted to get some additional orders first before coming to conclusions. We have ordered over 1000 gallons this year and the product truly lives up to its name. We have won three bids using your product because of our ability to stand behind our work. Your staff has always been there for questions, handling returns and the voice of reason when our installers call. Thanks for the visit. Sorry I wasn't there but at least you got the fifty cent tour.

We have completed the resurfacing of our commercial roof back in April and ordered a few more pails for areas where we probably did not apply it thick enough. Just wanted to share these photos with you. We have received several quotes for our 25,000 ft roof and after all was said and done managed to get it done for under $21,000 with you guys. Great product as you can see it came out wonderful and you were dealing with a skeptic.

T. Basset

Here is a picture of our finished roof. We were very happy with the end result. You have a great product here and we will be ordering for future jobs we have. We were a bit skeptical at first but when it was fully dry it looked as if we installed a new 1500 sq piece of sheet EPDM.

First I would like to thank you again for all the help!

After talking to a few RV dealers, most of them recommended putting a roof conditioner on to retreat the roof even though the black rubber roof was showing through. I decided to call and talk to you all. After my conversation with you all, it was recommended that I use a product called Streak Master. This product prepares the roof for sealing. It removes all the dirt and paint chalking. I washed the roof with the Streak Master and left it dry for one
day.

I followed the directions that I received with the Liquid Roof. After mixing the material, I used a squeegee and short nap roller and paint brush to apply the liquid roof. The material went on fairly easy , it took about 2 hours to apply the material. I'm very happy with the end result. It looks like I have a new roof on my trailer. Now I don't have to worry about the rain finding a way into the trailer and ruining our contents. I'm very please to know the Liquid Roof should last about 10 to 15 years. I would be glad to endorse this product if anyone would have any questions about it. It has been a please dealing with your company.

Mr.& Mrs. James L. B (Martinsburg, WV)

Attached is a picture of the trailer I used the EPDM coating on. It's 10 years old and the roof gave out last year. I applied your coating and everything has been "hunky-dory" since then. Thanks for a really good product which is easy to use and DOES the job as advertised.

Yours Truly,

T Gallow. (San Jose, CA)

We recently installed Liquid Roof on the roof of our houseboat. Liquid Roof was installed over unpainted plywood, fiberglass, painted wood and aluminum. It bonded very well to everything! Installation was relatively easy and the final result looks great! We are extremely pleased and have been recommending it to everyone on our dock! Thanks.

Gentlemen:

In early June I purchased a 4 gal pail of "Liquid Roof"  for my RV with the hope it would seal the Roof from additional leaks. Its been about a week since the product was applied and today I viewed the results and I can not tell you how pleased I am with your product and how the old roof looks new .  The results of the new coating have not been tested with a heavy shower as yet.  If there is any water that gets into the RV. It will not be through the roof (my opinion)

A couple of observation; your customer service is great.  I had some concerns as I had not used your products previously.  Please advise any potential customers to relax as your folks have the answers to any problem.

You may want to include with your instructions the fact that the material spreads so much easier with a squeegee and then finish with a roller.  In addition after a short period of time the highs and lows seem to blend together and you have a great looking and tight roof again.  I found the brushing didn't work well at all.

One of your many satisfied customers; thanks

Donna you may have recalled me asking if the testimonials on your site were real....well here I am writing you one after using the product. Thanks for all the help for us novices here. I will send pictures later but we completed our warehouse last week and had two good rainfalls and no leaks. We had a few roofers who quoted us $25,000 but managed to get by with $4,500 of your product !!

B. Wildler (Auburn, ME)

I thought I read at one point that this was non-toxic to fish. I have a leak in a pond liner where the two parts over lap. I was thinking of using your product to try and seal the joint. Your thoughts P.S. Installed your product on my barn and is working great!

Tom H (Corrales NM)

You asked us to send you a note on our feedback. As a roofer we have tried many products Sealoflex, Santi-Tred, Snow Roof and everything in between. Yours is what we will be using from now on. We are especially impressed with the flexibility of your product. With the seasonal changes we find this is the major cause for cracking to
occur with the other products we have used. I guess it goes without saying....You
get what you pay for.

R. Holt (Kansas City KS)

Thanks Brian. I'm just going to order me a gallon to start. Your rapid replies to my inquires make me know that you have confidence in your product. So, that gives me the confidence to try it out.

J Odom (TX)

Very satisfied with the final outcome of our metal roof. We have another buildings and we will be using Liquid Rubber on it as well. The first was just a test. You folks said everything it did!

B& M Property Management (Houston, TX)

We did a lot of research about finding the right product to fix our tin gutters. We had tried many products over the years and they either wouldn't cure in enough time and would eventually peal. When we tried Liquid Roof, it was love at first sight! It spread on smooth and filled in all of the cracks and folds completely tight. It's been through
winter and spring and has held up remarkably with no sign of wear.

Dannie G. (Louisville, KY)

Thank-you for your speedy reply. I really love your product and fully recommend it to all RV owners.

Jeff. P (Purchase NY)

Very well worth the wait. As promised would be glad to tell all of the wonderful experience with your product. Quite easier than the EPDM sheet rubber regarding installation. Hope to be a long customer of yours. Cheers All!

Erickson Industries, U.K.

Thanks to all for the very informative info. It made our decision easier. After discussing with several roofing companies we found that your product as promised did not require a primer nor a second application. We saved about a $1.10 per sq foot. Next month the second building!.

D. StJames (Burbank, CA)

We looked at many products before making our decision and we though yours was the most expensive, as it turned out it was the cheapest. Donna walked us through the whole deal. What the contractor originally wanted to do was going to require us to set a primer down first then the tar roof and gravel. We saved over $3500.00 just in the labor
alone. Wish we know about your product two years ago when we built our warehouse. Thanks for returning our calls, it's like pulling teeth to get a return call from some of the other companies out there!

Ordered a gallon and used it on the worst part of a 13 year old rubber roof, I am now buying 4 Gal. to try to do the rest. I highly recommend your product and if anyone wants to know about it I would be glad to chat with them about it.
